Research Assistant for the team of Document Examiners at Applied Forensics
Jessica Cameron serves a unique position as Assistant Forensic Document Examiner for the team of Document Examiners at Applied Forensics. Jessica assists examiners with casework by using in-depth research and technology such as Abode Photoshop, Write-On Pikaso, and Adobe Illustrator. She maintains the chain of custody and integrity of all evidence, along with interacting with attorneys and potential clients during field examinations. She assesses initial evidence and resolves discrepancies to organize cases to then be passed on to the examiners for analysis. Jessica also conducts non-destructive ink examinations using the Video Spectral Comparator and MiScope technologies, which are used in appendices and court presentations for all casework.
Jessica has successfully completed a six-month internship with Applied Forensics, studying different aspects of Forensic Document Examination, including questioned signatures and handwriting. Jessica continues to supplement her knowledge by attending Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator courses. Jessica has completed a Bachelor of Science in Forensic Science at Hofstra University in May 2015.
